The Central Virginia Pickleball Club provides a wealth of helpful and interesting information regarding pickleball in the Charlottesville and surrounding area. Maureen Novotne, Certified Coach and Instructor with PPR, (Professional Pickleball Registry) is the president. She instructs beginners and intermediate players.

Jerry West, Director of the Nelson County Department of Parks and Recreation recognizes the growing popularity of pickleball, and the high level of interest in this sport among its citizens. He supports pickleball through a weekly ‘open’ playgroup and continues to assess how to further support pickleball in the County.
